And with other purchases to make my fishing ste complete I am now ready to enter the realm of sports fisherman. Jt which usually closed by seven closed an hour later than usual that day still I wonder if fishing equiptment is tax deductable?

New Fishing Set
After the trip to Lukut and having first experience fishing I decided to get my own set instead of borrowing fronm people. And as you have it, I was paid for some freelancing work and come into some money. So with some frinds I head down to JT in Port Klang and did some shopping. At first I was leaning towards of getting the Abu Garcia Cardinal but opt to look at other brands first and that when I saw it. A Shimano 5000, it was an old stock but in good condition and since it was old stock it was sold with the old price and not the new one whiich is a couple hundred more expensives. It seems too good to be true so I snapped it up.

First time fishing ever in Lukut, Port Dickson
I went fishing last weekend, it was my first time and since I never had experienced it before i decided to give it a try. I went with a group of friends from work, there were seven of us. We headed out from Port Klang around 3 o'clock in the afternoon. It was a working Saturday that finished by noon. We makes a few stops before we reach Lukut, first near the tol in Shapadu Highway to buy some upun upun as bait and then in Lukut town itself to get some prawns and squids. There will be live baits waiting for us at the boat.
We reached there early, the boat is said to be ready by 6 o'clock. There were boats already at the Jeti but we thought the boat we hired is bigger until we are told that the ones moored there is the biggest there is,and the Tekong is already waiting for us but he thought we were going fishing at the kelong. Still, after that bit of confusion we headed out to sea. However, we've forgotten to bring the oxygen pump for the live prawns so the Tekong advised us to change the water regularly so that the prawns don't die.
We reached our first spot and anchored. Everyone is pumped up to do some serious fishing.

Everyone is looking around impatiently, The fish finder indicates that there are a lot of fish below us, but why are they not biting.
At last Darwin get the first catch, though I must admit that I don't recognize the fish since the only fish I can identify is ikan pari or stingray because it look odd enough to be memorable and ikan sardin because it came in a tin. Still, seems that even with a borrowed rod Darwin manages to catch something and of course everyone is looking enviously at the catch.
It is already dusk, only one fish so far. Somehow, I manage to perform maghrib prayer and continue fishing. It was this time that something got hooked to my rod (borrowed to obviously) that i must admit I kinda panicked. You can believe me what you will but the fish is heavy. They were encouraging me to reeled it by myself but none of them gave any helpful tipped on how to do it. The adrenalin is pumping through my blood and I was pumping the rod which is the wrong thing to do, the rod snaps. The line can hold 60lb while the perambut is at 30lb. it snaps at the perambut, that must be one heavy fish, still if I known the proper technique i might been able to get it up. It stills riled me even now that I can't get that fish up to the boat. I was out of breath afterward and needs a minute to calm down but there seems an air on the boat now. Where everyone is listed before, now they are even energized. Still even after a long wait no other fish is biting so we moved on to our third spot.
Its dark and our next spot is near some power station. It is a good spot, the water at the moment are calm so each of us make our cast. The first catch we get is a squid who came to the surface after our bait Darwin scooped up it up and toss it into the cooler, a catch is a catch regardless.
Anjang got something at the end of his line and are reeling it in.
And got his first fish. this place is promising, within a few minutes we got a squid and a fish.
Nukman is on the phone bull-shitting someone about how many catch that we already got which is not two fish and a squid. The one who is sitting next to him looking like he knows what he is doing is me and I am totally clueless.

I don't know what did he chants but it must have worked. I got my first ever fish, a Kerapu and pardon me if the picture id bigger than the rest. It is my blog after all.
Nukman get his first bite, the fish is being reeled quite easily so it must not be a big one.
When suddenly the lines gave a jerk downward and the fish seems to be heavier than thought.
Nukman barely hanging on to the rod trying to pull it up, the fish is fighting it like crazy and the rod is digging painfully into his waist.
Even with the belt on and Fadhil massaging his tired shoulders the fish is still stubbornly trying to escape.
As shown on camera through murky and dark with almost nothing can be seen, the rod has been changed three times and yet the d*** fish got away.
Our warriors exhausted and frustrated while contemplating the fist that got away.
Fadhil at last got a fish, actually he already hook a semilang before this kerapu or is it after. Still, everyone is determined to get more fish because we know they are here in abundance. They even splashes around the boat at the distance mockingly. Yet after a long while we decide to move to some other spot. As we hauling up the anchor we discovered that the anchor has caught up something to. After a laborious process which took both the efforts of Fadhil and Hashim, whom at the moment haven't caught anything yet and some nifty boat handling from the Tekong we managed to pull up the anchor. It seems that the anchor has caught onto some 1" thick steel cable. After casting the cable back to the depth of the sea we set out to a place whee we were promised that the pari are biting. They did not, probably discovered the Chelsea won the FA by 2-1 against Everton and are sulking. So we moved to the last spot, somewhere behind a Kelong where the water is not that deep. The fish are biting but none can be successfully hooked. Here Hashim caught himself a Kerapu Tak Siap said to be delicious but one ugly fish. Since none of us knows what to do with it or how to cook it Hashim decided to throw it back to sea. Nukman also managed to bring up something but it is a sesirat, and eel fish that can be the bane to your fishing line. Darwin took over by banging the fish into the sea to make it let go. I also caught my third fish successfully but it is also hj sirat. Darwin took over but this one is more stubborn, banging it onto the water surface or it head with a plyer still does not make it release it holds onto the line. It took some twisting with the plyer to release the hook from its mouth as the ell slithers down to the sea.
It's already four o'clock Sunday morning and the only fish biting is hj. sirat. Everyone is dead tired and bunked down at any nook and cranny on the boat no matter how uncomfortable.
Nukman groggily check his line before realising that nothings biting and thus fall back to sleep. It must have been a dream Man.
It is the break of dawn and the first thing Darwin did after waking up is to check his rod, no such luck.
This the only catch we managed to get, but of course the largest one is mine. Beginner's luck lol

Made it safely back to the jeti,now comes the troublesome parts of bringing up the gears from the boat.
A new day is beginning while our adventure at sea has just ended and I must say that while we did not get a lot of fish and the others might not agree with me it is a satisfying trip to me. I reeled in three fish successfully and release two back to sea. Now I can't wait to get back home..
And get someone to cook this delicious looking fish.

First Post
Assalamualaikum, greetings, hajimemashite and so forth. I have no idea what I am going to write down and has no idea where this blog's direction is going to be. Basically, what I'll write down is whatever interest me under the sun and if this blog hasn't been updated for quite sometime it's either I found a life or that I'm to lazy to write anything.
What interest me are fiction either on the paper or on the screen. Fantasy like Tolkien's Lord of the Rings or Science Fiction like the Deathstalker series. Reading both western type comics or eastern types like manga,manhwa or those from Hong Kong translated of course. Watching anime of all genres or Sci Fi like Babylon 5 or shows like Psych or Reaper.
I even willing to wake up early sunday morning to catches these shows through Keyhole TV.
Kamen Rider De-De-De- Decade
The 10th anniversary of the Heisei Era Kamen Rider Series which started off with Kuuga which succesfully bring back the franchise and followed with Agito rumored to have the highest "obaasan" viewers. After Agito is Ryuki, Blade, Faiz, Hibiki,Kabuto, Den-O, Kiva and at last Decade. Each series has its own flavor and theme and Decades are Kamen Rider meet Crisis of Infinite Earth. All past Heisei Riders make appearance in Decade but with a twist, they are not the ones you know and love, if you are a fan like me, or that their world are the same worlds that you have watch before. It is the same yet twisted. Decade has gone through Kuuga's World where the theme is cop drama, Kiva's world where soul sucking Fangires live in harmony with humans, Ryuki's world whre Riders are lawyers, Kamen Rider "Sarariman" in Blade's world, High School without the Musical in Faiz's world and now in Agito's which I haven't watch yet so I have no idea what's going on but bound to be interesting.
Before Decade is this show:
Samurai Sentai Shinkenger, the only sentai That I have watched sentai from start to finish the same year it cames out is Gekiranger. I lost interest in last years Goonger after a few episodes but this year shinkenger shows a lot of promises. maybe in my next post I'll delve in deeper in these shows or maybe I'll write something elses. Ja ne...
